Title: fuel pump question

 i have a edelbrock 1406    i read on the net   that it takes about 5.5 to 6 psi  , i m currently running a elec pump from autozone that says 5.5 to 9 psi   will i be ok?  is it a self regulates?

should be fine. i run one of those fuel pumps and a holley 600 cfm carb works great.

Should be good. It's not the psi really, it's the volume a pump produces. An average only needs 6-7.5psi. A stock motor needs 30-40gpm. As motor gets bigger needs more gpm fead to it
