Title: jeep cherokee problem

anyone have a ideal what would cause this.
1993 cherokee sport 4.0 straight -6
only when you start or turn off the jeep there is a loud clinking noise coming from what seems to me like behind the motor.
i check all the u-joints, manifold etc nothing loose what would cause this ? it dont happen while driveing only starting and shutting off the jeep?

Ya ide cheak the converter n fly wheel bolts could also be the starter isn't dissengaging and is when u turn it off

it was the converter to the flex-plate bolts where loose thanks for the help
