Have you never had to go for jury duty?? Well in the last 5 years my dad has been "randomly picked" And now I have to go in. You don't call no more you have to go sit there and wait.
act like a fool and they wont select you lol works for my dad all the time
I had to go a year or two ago, for the stupidist case too. Im pretty sure the defense attorny was drunk or hung over lol
Just my opinion but I think jury duty should be selected from the unemployed. They don't have a set schedule of having to be somewhere everyday same thing with people going to school they shouldn't be picked either. Its the least the unemployed can do to give back to the system. Unfortunatly there's plenty of unemployed people out there that will qualify to do jury duty at anytime any day
so u...b doe...think that just cause people are unemployed they r beneath u or something? it's called a civic duty and i was always told they pull them using secetary of state records, not sure about that...but when u get the call u go, not say let someone else do it cause u don't have time in your busy life.
Ive been told that its the registered voters that are randomly selected.... Im not a registered voter and havent been selected for jury duty yet??? idk if its true or not.
But being unemployed or employed has nothing to do with if your selected for jury duty or not.
....i'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6...
once ,but got out of it do to an address problem

Not true! Goes off your Michigan License/State I.D. number. That's how they got me!
I got out of it though due to being unable to take that much time off due to being unable to show up to the courthouse in the allotted notice time while at work, unless they had space for me to park a log loader. ;D
Was selected to go sit and wait over the course of a week or 2 in saginaw. Had to call every day to see if I had to show up. Then if I did have to go in there was no guaranty that I would be called into a courtroom to possibly be selected for actual duty. It really sucked being on 3rd shift and doin that.
when i was 20 they picked me did a murder case, kinda cool but took forever spent a week in the court room and 2 and a half weeks in the jury room arguing. put 12 people in a room and saw you cant come out till you all agree on 1 charge yea took forever
o and now i never have to go again
never had to but will if need to . the pay sucks and it is usually a birden. have got a few letters but never had to go in.
i got pulled last year but being i am a procedure specialist/surgical coodinator for a hospital and had a few people on vacation from my office they couldnt (spare me lol ) they excused me quiett quiett quiett quiett quiett ++peace ++peace ++peace
got pulled twice. 1st time I had moved to a new county so i didn't have to go, second time, I called in but never had to go in.
