i have purchased a kingpin dana 60. i am trying to assemble brakes and i have a big bracket bolted to the axle and then i have a caliper which looks to me like it does not just bolt on. it looks like i am missing a small bracket or something. i am trying to find a picture i can go off of or just some guidance any help would be appreciated thank you for your time. also if i go buy new calipers will i get the necessary bracket with the caliper? thanx again
if anyone lives in the flint area and has one to look at would also be a huge help
Depends on what year and truck make really. The 60s I dealt with (GM) have a lock plate on the bottom held in by a set screw, you take the screw out and tap the plate out. Then the caliper comes off. There is a little flat spring that goes on the plate too, has tabs on it to hold it on the plate.
Look on the bottom of this caliper, you can just see the plate and the set screw.
