Title: .body lift w/ no blocks...anyone ever try this

like to see a pic maby anbody do this?

putting a reg cab on a k5 and has three in blocks ...i want to do away with the blocks, have the back done figured and made ...its just the center mount..

i want to take it off  and extend the mount on the frame up three in off the frame to do away with the block? just want see someones done this yet.

already got it start just looking for more over view

I'm doing the same on my s10 when I get ahold of a cab. Been thinking about it for a while, saves on the blocks cracking & breaking.

ya if i can get away from the blocks and use "stock"  rubber mounts less to worry....

anyone got a pic of there center ones they built... got the back ones done . used c channel from one side to there side with my riser. but center cant go acros got to gusset it somhow to frame

I've built 2 like that. I can take pics in the Mornin for you, I'm at work til 1 am. What I did is used  a  long piece of 2 x2 x 3/16" sq tube on each side and connected it with angle iron. Then I welded plates on the bottom of the sq tube and ran threaded rod into plate for body mount.  Then put washers and nuts on frame side of mount to tighten down.  I drilled holes in angle iron for cab bolts. Works great , I used a thick washer between cab and angle iron.

dont put the bushing on the frame side itll give the riser alot of leverage against it that way  bowtie 972s  looks good

thanks for the pics...that little easier design then i was thinkn..for sure

i was tking the taking whole mount off frame and moving that up..im liking the way u did that.     looks little more then my 3 in im doin...lol  lol

is that piece off threaded rod go from to to bottom on the riser part? or just weld a nub on the bottom....

I drilled and tapped the bottom plate and threaded it in. Put a nut on the top side of the plate just for a little extra thread, then tack welded the nut and rod so it wouldn't come out. Then weld your plate to the tube.

so the one i had made was to that concept except had my riser made of c channel
and welderd to the frame..

u use that same concept with the front cab mounts? that the one got me puzzled...but
think i can take a back rear spring holder  flip it upside down should be the right height.. just got take the shackel out weld flat piece on top, and  torch a hole??

not sure just bs some ideas, that shuld be bout 3 in diff from where the stock mount is...hmmm  have to do some measuring tomarow

If I remember right the holes in the front of cab lined up with the existing hole on blazer frame. I just added a 3" block plus a hockey puck. If u wanted to eliminate that u could make one from sq tube and run threaded rod into cab I suppose.
