even the 5.7L LS1 is a 346 CI :) but if this was the case I think you would have to know the year of the heads.
wouldnt a 346 be a 5.6 ?

I always thought the ls1 was a 349 but according wikipedia its a 346..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine#5.7_L (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine#5.7_L)
there was a pre 05' 6.0L and 05'+ 6.0L so it might depend on the year of the heads if they will bolt on.
Whats the advantage to this if they actually will fit?

stock ls heads are 15 degree heads vrs 23 for a standard...straighter shot to the cylinders=more power
Any difference in valve size, combustion chambers, intake/exhaust runners..?

I know. Just trying to help the guy.
The Vortec 6000 is a V8 truck engine. Displacement is 6.0 L (370 cu in) from 101.6 mm bore and 92 mm stroke. It is an iron/aluminum (1999 & 2000 model year engines had cast iron heads) design and produces 300 horsepower (220 kW) to 345 horsepower (257 kW) and 360 lbf·ft (490 N·m) to 380 lbf·ft (520 N·m).
The heads from it are a lot more square then the ones from my 5.7L and for only .3 L bigger I wouldnt not have thought they would be that much different
they are totally different engines the only thing they have in common are that they both push rod motors and the trannys can be somewhat interchanged. The 6.ol is very similar to the LS motor's with alot of interchangeability, The 5.7 is totaly different unless your talking about a 5.7 LS which is out there but I don't think that's what your talking about.
