I was but between the fuel prices and all the new regulations coming i got out.  Freight prices just aren't where they need to be to go out and buy a 130,000$ truck and a 40,000$ trailer.  Not to mention the 10,000$ / year insurance bill.

Drove for them (OO's) for years..
watched what they went thru..

was enough to convince me not to do it.

sold ours were within 10-12k of what we kept @ end of year as o/o for 10k year def NOT worth the stress been doing this 30 years it aint what it used to be jmo ==doh

yep, presents an issue w/DOT though.. no sleeper berth so log book issues come into play unless your strictly local.

I've heard they don't bothe you much aslong as you have a crewcab and a legit log book, a couple guys I know got burned bc they thought jus bc its a pickup truck they didn't need a log book, I told em dot don't give a p00 if its a minivan, your drive time has to be logged, just like all of the ctx guys they are the same way, running expedites n what not, they have to have logbooks don't matter if they have 1 Bolt  or a full van it has to be logged, im thinking about going the ctx route, just gotta find a good deal on a e350 with a 7.3 with a 12ft cargo space

Im gonna say it depends on the cop and the Judge ..
know of tickets, no definitne reg. I know of.. should look it up at work.
