If I could afford a new one it would be a Simplicity Legacy XL 4x4 w/ the 3 cyl briggs diesel hands down. But thats $$$
Cub you pay for the name. Not worth it.
Really craftsman tractors are still not all that bad as long as you stick with the briggs powered ones. (price vs quality).
I'm not even sure what mine is anymore.. scrapped the hood off of it. Hard times. ==roll
65' Cub Cadet 100 with a 10hp Kohler ==np
I just bought a new cub, have always been a simplicity or whatever was given to me kind of guy. I like my cub so far and I see a lot of people with them now.
As far as I'm concerned, if you do the oil changes at least once a year and keep the blades sharpened your good to go with just about any of them.
Good luck!
Well since my old man owns a landscape company, I personally wouldn't waste any money on any exmark, cubs or that junk. We only run Kubota Zero Turns... of course diesel, and Scag walk behinds. We have owned both for a few years now and have never had a problem other than routine maintenance. Just remember you get what you pay for especially when it comes to zero turns. jmo
I'm a fan of Toro, we used to runs Toro Z Zero turns back in the day, and I have a little Toro wheel horse 38" tractor, but I have run Scags and they are quite nice.
Next mower will be a 3 point finish mower to use with my 1950 Farmall H.
No more cheesy junk for me.
I've got a cub 1811 and its a damn nice tractor, just its old and was never takin care of, I'm fixing it up as I go but for what I paid for it, wayyy werth it, as far as zero turns simplicitys are nice, and so are scags and exmark and country clippers are really nice, they back their warrentys, neighbor has one and blew the engine up last year the mower is 8 yrs old and country clipper replaced it free of charge, if I could afford it I would have one, they drive with one hand its kinda nice too, just a joy stick
I've had good luck with my Toro zero turn.
42in. carftsmen
I love my exmark
use the 52" bunton walk behind the 61" ferris zero turn and for the high stuff the 46" craftsman
just bought a troy bilt 50" zero turn with 138 hrs for a thousand bucks... in GREAT shape.... made by the same people who make cub cadet now
cub cadet 0 turn went from 1hr to 20 min to do the whole yard.
1976 case 224 48 inch deck 12 hp kohler ==djdj ==djdj ==djdj ==djdj
I use anyone that works........
hmm, lets see, at my regular home, i use a 3 cylinder diesel bobkat tractor w/ a king kutter 72" cut. at my rental home i have a early 90's cub 1330 w/ 38" cut, and at the cabin i use a late 90s white w/ 38" cut and recently bought a commercial bad boy mower w/ 60" cut zero turn, 27 hp they all work well, and thats becasue im not walking lol
I got a 67 simplicity broadmoor that someone took great care of, i swapped a 10 horse onto it and i love the little thing. It mows nice, drags brush around, and moves snow like a beast. Best 150 bucks i ever spent.
2007 craftsman 46" i work for landscaping as side job and we run 60" john deere zero turn and they are nice but it cant handle the abuse
im a push behind kinda guy i like my exercise

well i found an exmark zero turn. almost had the wife talked into a herd of goats lol way cheaper and could just have a little goat roast in the fall but the kids would want to keep them.
I use a 9 yr old with a push mower.
