Took out the truck today its a 350 turbo was told it was just rebuilt and its shifting really hard. Fluids are to spec could the clutches be fried? Or what? ???
does it have a shift kit?
what do you mean by shifting hard, is it very firm or does it take a lot ot get it to shift .......
No shift kit that i know of. And by hard i mean like clunk! 2nd clunk 3rd but the thing is it doesnt do it all the time. And when i put it in drive and it free revs for a bit and then kicks in. Could it be the linkage? Or trans filter clogged?
junk rebuilt. pull it have it done.
how does it smell? sounds like a bad pump, but i really am just guessing. and, if its a column shift, there is no 'settings' for the shifter, but if you have a floor shifter you might want to check the adjustment in the cable.
It might be the pump. But its on the collum but its out of something else i think it might be the linkage. And im not sure how to adjust that

if it feels sloppy, it could be missing the bushings where the rod hooks to the column, under the hood.
Ill take a look at it more when i get to the shop. And is ok to drive it up the road to my other shop
