Title: Smartphones messing up the wireless router?
Post by: RIP_K52007 on July 01, 2012, 04:09:28 PM
I have a old net gear wifi router, everytime someone comes over with a smart phone and connects/disconnects a few times I have to call charter and reset the whole thing from their end. Is this a charter problem or do I need a new router?  Charter said it sounds like the router is "overloading" I just delt with it before but now that I have a phone thats doing it also its getting annoying...

any ideas? should i just get a new router? this ones been nothing but a headache since day one.

it might be an issue with the firmware for the router, try upgrading it...
