Title: tips on shrotining a box by alot

think im goin to try it this time dont want another flat bed .. so i need to vut it off basicly right at the wheel well

anyone have any tips to help me through,, or is it to much trin to shorten a box

if it helps its a reg s10 box actually if i had a box from a four door that would be great . think that box ends right after wheel well....

anyway any input is helpful.. dont want try it an ruin a almost rust free box if its somthin i shouldnt try on my garage floor with a metabo...lol

i took 22 inches out of my long box it is very very easy mark ur line and start cutting

x2 I took 16" put of mine and about to take 3 more out

Mark n cut the box, save the front. Cut away excess and re-weld front of box to remaining portion. Patch pieces in as needed to fill gaps. Start with very small spot welds and gradually stitch parts together and complete the welds till solid. Look at my thread "old school things in my yard" - you can do it, its not that hard ;D
