Title: rebuild cost of 4l60e

i have a 96 yukon that the planetary s went out on what should the cost of rebuild (they remove & reinstall) be at at a tranny shop with a warranty

Depends on who you go to. I have an amazing trans guy that will remove, rebuild, and reinstall with a year warranty for 1200-1400 or so.

I'll haul it to Mudman for you.  He's done 2 trans for me so far and no issues from eiither.  Going on 2 years on one and the other is in the bogger about to be put through the ringer at Millington.

I had 800 or so into mine me pulling it. He charges like 300 to pull and reinstall mudmans a great guy.

yep mudman did mine about 10 months ago no problems so far even tho ive only put like 5k miles on it lol but its the best shifting 4L60E ive ever had

call rob at 1st transmissions in midland. (thats where i work) he has great prices, will come with a new convertor and he puts shift kits in everything. Oh yea, he will also put a 3 year warranty with unlimited mileage for no extra cost.

also, CASH will get you a better price.

yup there round the corner from me ... they do great work there
