a bottom line from a paintball gun ( going to get a on/off one when i get some cash )
fig i just share this with yall and see what you guy think
i will be testing and tuning it over the next few week . i only had less the a 1/4 of a 9 oz tho it so far filled a few little trailer tire with it so far ( just to see if it worked )
this was just my first try at the reg set up
Interesting, let me know how well this works, I have spare tanks an old gun and pretty much everything to.build one, cheap and easy
well it worked great till the reg and tank froze
i ran a impact off the one nine for like 10 min then everything froze and i let is worm up and i had like 5 more min till it was empty . it took lug nut off just as if it was on a air system .
im going to try a freand 20oz in a few day and hopefully that dont freeze up as quick
Yeah that's the difference between a homemade regulator and the power tank regulators, but still 10 mins is pretty good for an on the trail setup
yeah i think it has to do a lot with using all the co2 in the tank to quickly .
it don't start to freeze up till the last few oz of the tank .
when it froze it went from cold to frosted over, in the time it took to take a lug off .
after i try the bigger tank if that don't work ill try to make the distance from the tank to the reg longer so it wont be as cold when it get to the reg . i know it help in a paintball gun but who knows in this set up
I used to know a coupe guys that would do this for trail rides. Worked good.
Mainly filling tires back up.
Get a nos bottle heater, no more freeze ups
figure out how to put in an expansion chamber, should help take care of the freezing issue, very clever.
yeah ill have to see what i can do i havent been able to mess with it in some time
i was thinking this would help but the tank freezes just as fast at the reg
