Im sure this has been talked about before but I was wondering who runs shocks on there mud truck. Reason I ask is i just picked up a 82 Chevy 1/2 ton and there's no shocks on it at all and I'm kinda tight for money and wanted to know if it would affect anything to run with out for a while?
the ride will suffer severely. its in a mud truck? be ready for a ride! i had a 90 colt station wagon the didnt have rear shocks, went bouncing down the road like a clown car. i imagine it be 10x that bad in the mud with the holes and all
I know a few that don't run them, I think running them is nicer to the breakables
Have u ever seen billy borck orange s-10 mud truck run? He doesn't have shocks up front and it throws him around alot
Ran mine without them last year but they are on this year, alot smoother ride
That's what I was worried about yeah it's my new mud truck. I have been lookin on Craigslist all day for used Ones but no luck
18 a shock at the zone for the cheepies
Will they fit a truck with either a 4 or 6 inch lift
I got like 10 used 1s that length at home. Ill check and see if i have 4 that have bushings in both ends
That would be awesome trying to get it ready for this Saturday
Dont run any on the front of the Cheep..
works good, "pops" the front end outta holes..
I don't have shocks on the front of my DD. the ride is terrible. effects stability majorly, lack of control in the corners... but it looks sweet launching from a light! ==roll

no they wont............those are STOCK shocks. You will need LIFT KIT shocks..........and they will run around 35/40.00 each......and thats with or with out the colored plastic boot.
I rode around in my 90 K5 blazer with no shocks for about a week. It SUCKED big time!!!!.......horrible BOUNCY ride...and it seemed liked it got worse as I went faster on bumpy paved roads. Once I got the shocks put back on........it road soooo much better!!!
you do not need shocks on that truck. on my dodge truck when bought sky jacker lift 8" i got there gas shocks and the shocks lasted 2 years and no gas charge was gone, ran the truck without shocks for 15 years that way. if you have a lift kit on the truck then no shocks but if it has stock springs in it you will need shocks
Well ran it today at the mud ranch and I going to be installing shocks I'm over bouncing my head off the roof lol
