Last time I had my bogger out I must of pinched or broke some wires in my colum bc the key won't work at all. So I just figured I would set it up using toggle switchs. Since the starter was already hooked to one. I just don't know how to set it up so the ignition will have Power to the distributor. Any help will be help full
Will the alternator still work if I run a toggle switch
HEI???
It's a 82. Heavy with a carbed 350
Put a toggle in line between a 12 volt power source and the power wire going into the coil on the distributor. Using a fuse in line wouldn't be that bad of an idea either.
So wire from battery to switch and from the switch to the coil? What wire on the coil do I go to its a msd dizzy
if its msd look it up online.. and do you have a msd box?
Nope no box just a off the shelve msd distributor
Into plug that says batt. I assume its an hei replacement
Ok thank you guys for the info
Bump
it should, as long as it was working before.
Yeah it did i just wanted to make sure bc I didn't know if the key sent power to it or something
Could some one tell me how I would go about wirin the ignition with a 3 Postion switch. Sorry for all the question I'm not good at wiring
Stop at a hardware and get a single pull single throw switch. No need for anything more.
let me know if ya need a hand with any of it. I'm home after 6-8ish everyday.
