HE SHOULD B FEELING IT SOON ==kv
==kv applaudd i like the hay for softer hitting anything better then cement ==doh
crazy glad no one was hurt
glad he was ok that was pretty nasty
no denying the throttle stuck on that one.
hopefully they can change the layout of that track and get a little rundown lane so a guy would have a chance to kill
the engine in that situation. doesnt look like theres much room to get a skipper shut down even without having a problem
glad to see he is ok
1 more reason I'm glad we have this stickey'd http://wegotmud.com/forum/index.php?topic=41343.0 (http://wegotmud.com/forum/index.php?topic=41343.0) You never know when it could happen to you ==doh Big bails might not be around next time

I am saying this from experiance by the time you know your in trouble its too late to correct. think tether like indoor shows would be safer
Kody got pretty lucky on that one, glad he's alright! As far as the shutdown goes, there definitely needs to be more room for trucks that are gonna lay down sub 5 second passes. The bails were a good idea to keep the impact down to a minimum, much better than concrete for sure. The Colorado is getting close to pushing the boundaries of that right now and it makes me think safety even more when you see things like this happen. I like the tether idea for attaching to the back, but the one bad thing I've seen is it gets hit by mud and accidentally shuts off the car or comes off completely during the run, so it has its advantages/disadvantages. Same with the RII system. Would be nice, but not everyone can afford to spend money like that on a remote kill system that not every racetrack/association uses. A combined effort between racers and promoter is gonna be the thing that helps get this put into motion and make mud bogs/races become a safer event for everyone. Heres a site I seen recently that is dedicated to safety in mud racing for promoters and drivers, check it out for some good info! http://www.safemud.com (http://www.safemud.com)
i agree with the more shutdown room but as a few people pointed out to me they said he couldnt reach the kill switch and if he couldnt reach it, and there was more shut down room he would have gotten going even faster. i think they should have stood the bails up so they dont roll.
wow that is scary! hope the promoters and racers learn from this and can think of something more safe!
Glad he was OK.
