Title: TRACKER PROBLEMS
Post by: ShortTemperd on September 14, 2012, 03:28:58 PM
well to start off this is just a puddle hopper gas saver 1994 track 1.6L with 5 speed . and for a simple motor i cant figure it out and its getting to me. so i figure id ask my fellow wegotmud family. anyways on to the important things. starts up runs fine and drives fine but if i hit a bump or something it seems like it shuts itslelf off (electrically) and turns back on. iv replace the ground a positive wires running to the battery. and sometimes its just my radio that shuts off. i dont know if this would be an ignition problem? because somtimes i cant get my key all the way in the ignition. so i dont know what to do or how to fix this. any ideas or input would be helpfull and much apprechiated.

Thanks Tyler

I had a bronco 2 that used to do that and i ended up replacing the ignition switch. Maybe fire it up and wiggle sum of the wire harnesses and see if any of em cause it to shut down or anything.  ++peace

As soon as you said radio going off also, ignition switch came to mind. Thats where I would start to!
