Title: Anyone fire up the old furnace last night??

Did you turn on the heat with this cold we had/ still having over the night???   


I know when I woke up this morning at 5am, I sure did. My house was freezing!!

66 at 5 am in my house not turning the heat on yet I enjoy the very low gas bill too much.

Yep, was 62° in the house at 5am. Now its a nice 71°

does the wood stove  count  built a fire around 10 last night and just choked it down feet are on regester right now and the heat feel good lol oh and the house was aroun 60 when i built the fire last night

Yeah I think my house was around 60, but holy cow was my floors freezing! Two of my basement windows need to be replaced, (nice big cracks) and the cold was just poring in my basement last night.

At my house we didn't have the stove on, but at work if it gets lower than 68 their furnace is kicking on.

My wife did... Woke me up.. I was like wtf its only 65 in here...  Loll I then shut it off and turned on my window ac in my bed room lol heat dont come on in our house till 58

had the fans on in the windows poring that cold in man did it feel good i think it was just as cold in my house as it was out

nope but i manage to take out the AC window unit today so hopefully tomorrow am it wouldnt be freezing as bad as it did this morning

verry tempting though it was 59 in the house when I got up this morning but I got blankets so I can hold out for a little longer loll

nope it was a little chilly but cleaned the chimney and now got the wood stove cranking

i'm not as arctic as everyone else. my house is set to 74-75 year round, I like the heat but when I get home in the mornin and the wife didn't kick it over to heat I think its freezing at 71!  then yes, I do kick the heat on.  that's what happens when you lived in Florida for a bit!  I just can't shake it.

No, but I told the wife half joking that we are not running the furnace until there is snow on the ground. I would lose that battle anyway.

Furnace tried to fire up but would not make heat looked in the fire box window and saw a very small flame called consumers and they sent a guy out discovered a spider had crawled into the orfice and built a nest cleaned out and now I have nice warm heat

since i only use a woodstove to heat, i had a fire last night, but it made it to hot and had to open my windows by 3am, gotta love the neopolean wood stoves, double walled very efficient, i think i may of burnt a total of 10 logs since about 6 last night, still have somewhat warm coals in the bottom.

been sleeping with my windows open and my fan on. lol been nice n cold in the house, just how i like it. old lady made me split more firewood, supposed cold spell coming through soon. lol

Oh yeah, been set on 70 for a month. The bill only goes up 10 bux this time of year. Beats waking up freezing

Been cutting trees down last few weekends n yeah been starting a fire wen needed. Screw furnace ain't gettin my $$$ till I have to turn it on lol. Winter is comin. Wood is good. Helps w my bills neway
