Was takeing the wife and kids to the cider mill and we were sitting at a light next thing I know boom we get hit. The girl never hit her breaks, totalled both vehicles. She hit us so hard my truck got moved up three to four truck lengths. Guess I'll salvage what I can and build something else this winter. Effing sux my ballz. There's a pic up on Facebook. Can't post em from my phone
DAMN!!!!
TRans and t case broke too?
that sux bro, glad you all are ok
trucks come and go and what important is nobody was hurt and u live to complain :)
Yeah, kids were in the car. Wife and I got taken away in ambulance. She hit her head on the dash, the cage did its job no one was seriously Injured. My neck and back are rare, but xrays were good. Most of the damage is underneath. She hit the rear right tire and shoved everything up and left. Leaf spring is bent at a 90 degree angle, dunno if fire is popd or if it just came off the bead. Frame is bent real bad. If we would have been in something that was stock height it would have been way worse. She never hit her breaks. And hit so hard the truck went forward and left about three to four car lengths.
It's at the tow yard now, don't know if just tcase is broke, or if the trans is too.
that sucks glad everyone is ok
What was she driving? Glad to hear that you the wife and the kids are ok!

That sucks, I'm glad you and your family walked away with only bumps and bruises. It could have been a lot worse.
Such a bummer. Do you have a garage to store it in and start to swap parts over this winter?
Glad no one was seriously hurt.

X2
Glad everyone is ok! Just put a cab on it, cut off the bent part of the frame and weld on on a straight piece and fishplate and weld it solid all the way around and go on about your business. Get the frame rail off any truck around that year, theyll all be pretty much the same.
It's way past that Marty
It kept your family safe, that's the most important thing.
Glad to hear you and the family are okay
Man that sucks, glad everybody was ok, got pictures of her car?
There are some on face book. Rob Risch is my name if u wanna look
Damn man, Just checked out your Facebook pics and holy hell she hit you guys hard! Being a HUGE k5 freak, it kills me to see another down k5. I bet that frame is twisted all to p00. Glad you and the family are ok.
==doh glad all is well with the fam
Yeah man, it's twisted like a pretzel. My c channel bumper is twisted too. Hit so hard that some welds on my receiver were ripped in half. The actual welds ripped in half.
Yup I looked at them pics, wow hard hit, glad everyone is ok! ==whew
We wouldn't have been ok on a stock height vehicle.
