Title: Mud Truck Freestyle Competition
Post by: BC775 on December 03, 2012, 12:28:02 AM
I wanted to get everyones opinion on this. Next Summer im thinking about hosting a freestyle Comp for the guys that love to go big and jump. Thinking i would bring in some crush cars and build a sweet course out of dirt. I would have a payout for the top three guys. basically run it like a monster jam but for boggers. It was my thought process since i dont have a pit to host bogs.

Would be pretty sweet, but I would make a roll cage, helmet, and no riders mandatory...lots can go wrong once jumping gets involved

Also I would make it so you have the competition part, for the guys that wanna go big, and then after have it kinda like a free run for guys who don't wanna trash their rigs, but still might wanna run over some cars, plus in my opinion I wouldn't wanna sit threw 40 trucks rolling over hills, just to watch a few run hard

Yea Well the plan is to have a pretty high payout so they will wanna run hard to get that cash

I think it would be great to watch.  But, I would be curious to see how many people would participate.  Jumping in mud pits is VERY different than jumping on hard packed dirt.   Big time.

better get some good equipment out there to tow the stuff off the track...it's fun watching the guys "go big" lol...sucks sometimes when they don't have a way to get it back on the trailer.

Very good point!

Off the track and also at least onto a trailer.

if I could make it I would love an event like that, maybe make some mini pits for us guys that don't have trucks, I have a good size go kart and would still love to run that some way.

Usually big isnt needed.  Not caring if you damage it is what is needed.  Being able to air it out without busting to pieces on the landing, etc.

The way I look at it is if I break it, now I know where the weak spots are. Lol
I also have a buddy that will run one of his trucks.
