what is it/what does it do.
Its for when a torque converter or transmission blows up. It wraps around the transmission. Used in high horse racing of any kind. I use one just for safety. When a trans blows up with 700hp in front of it, things dont look pretty anymore

They dont retain any fluid. They wrap around the trans to prevent parts from flying outside the case when one blows up. Like if a sprag were break doing a burnout.

correct they are like a "flack jacket" for the tranny so the driver doesn't get injured when there's a catastrophic failure
how much you do you think shipping would be to 48875 , I've got a friend that may want one for his drag jeep, ohh and what year does the cert expire?
I will have to look. I think they might be expired. Shipping should only be 15-16 bucks for flat rate. There all in good shape tho, no rips or anything
They expired just over 2 years ago. They are still legal for mud bog competition, sand drags, and for overall safety. If anybody has ever seen a trans blowup with 500+ horsepower, you will understand why these are a safety feature
