Wish I had the picture of her caliper.
People, please for the love of god...
When your brakes are getting bad, just bite the bullet and take it in the shorts and get your brakes done. Beside your motor running, the brakes are easily one of the most important parts on a vehicle. When your brakes are thisssss bad, not only is it not safe for you, the driver, but your passengers and others on the road. I don't have to tell anyone on this fourm, you guys probably change them regularly. But check your wive's vehicles or your kids' vehicles. Especially with the weather being as bad as it has and the soon to be holiday traveling. Id hate to see somthing WGM about a injured member in a car accident because of somthing as simple as checking/replacing your brakes.
Merry Christmas everyone, be safe.
Thats funny. had a lady come in 3-4 weeks ago with the same thing but she asked if i could turn it. i said ya in to scrap weight. new calipers, rotors, pads, fluid, ect cost her around 450 in parts plus labor.
i had an s10 that the front rotors were like that, not as far gone, but into the fins. had to buy new calipers too... didnt have the $$ to fix them when they were getting bad

Hahaha
yup ive had a few cars come in the same way its real.
I have seen a few of them come in the shop I work at looking like that. Brakes and Front End parts are the most important thing on a vehicle ++peace But it still amazes me to what condition you see them on the road with
The rear rotors on my superduty did the same thing, Split right down the center.

x2 seen it more times than I wanted to
and topfist that's not from then splitting apart its from idiots that don't have things checked out when they start making noise and vibrations....
one of the rotors on my Caprice split down the middle about 3 days after I bought it, I check the rotors now before I try driving home a new vehicle, scared the hell out of me :)
gives new meaning to the word sloted rotors
Almost looks like a gear.
I had that happen to me on an old plow truck of mine years ago right in somebodys drive way as I was plowing.
Never had one that bad. Did have one snap all the way around away from the hub on a Lincoln.
I wish I would have taken pictures of the first truck I ever drug home to rebuild! The truck was used on a cow farm and beaten to p00 and put away wet! The body was damn near held together by the rust and bondo. The tires held air for all of 20min at a time, and the front rims were rusted stuck on the wheel studs. After tearing the body off and torching the front wheel studs off just so we could remove the tires to change brakes, we noticed the rotors were worn so far they looked like dinner plates, they broke when we tried to pull them off. The guy I got it from said the brakes were never changed the 23 years he used it on the farm. Why and how they never did still boggles me. Those were the worst rotors I have ever seem to this day. Kick myself in the ass for not taking those pics, whenever I hear people bring up brake job stories.
wow
