Title: starter truck?

I am looking into rc trucks what would be the best chepest starter truck

to some extent you get what you pay for. It might help if we knew more info like budget, 2wd/4wd, racing, bashing, rock crawling, gas, electric, ect........

what kinda truck you want? like mudbuster said racing, bashing, rock crawling? craigslist has some trucks sometimes but good trucks dont come cheap thats why I sold mine lol $700+ in it and it broke every run or 2

traxxas trucks are waterproof but not cheap and are fun in mud axial trucks are also very fun in mud but have to be water proofed by u or buy water proof electronics....  and this is guessing you are wanting elec truck not nitro

Ya if you want to go in the mud get a Traxxas they are water proof.  Look for a 2wd Stamped either Brushed or Brushless. Best bet is to keep your eye open on Craigslist for one in your price range.

But if you can wait and save up buy a new 4wd Stamped w/ the brushless set up and 2.4 ghz radio anf get a lipo battery and a good charger.

with traxxas stampede 4x4 stock stafts will not last. lol  I had one was stupid fast and fun, with mip shafts it worked good for a while!
