==kvnot really a completely new project. just a revision on the old. i am retiring the bronco 2 body so the name twisted pony with no longer fit. i recently bought a rust free 93 ford ranger. the plan is to throw the ranger body on my bronco 2 chassis, i will still be running the same motor and drive train. the bronco chassis is shorter wheel base than the ranger so im going to stick the cab on and buy some box skins and shorten them up and throw them on, also i am buying an 01 front clip becasue i like the newer style grill and head lights. i am also planning on doing somehting different with the headers and puttin together a dana 60 in the front to get rid of the little toyota front that i have been runnin for the past 4 years. the truck will be painted candy apple red so the name Bad Apple will fit and would like to work in flat black somewhere in the color scheme
Get some.
Sweet
Are you going to put the bowtie on the ranger? Paint the grill flat black along with the name BAD APPLE
its going to look cool when its done
Yes there will be a Bowtie on the grill I work at a machine shop so I'm goin to machine out a big Bowtie that will take up alot of the grill BAD APPLE will be on the side in diamond plate letters with a black out line
Sweet!
tore the dana 60 down today and debraked it need to buy new ujoints both ends were shot, then reassemble everything and get all the moss that has grown on it off from sitten for a couple years then wait for warmer weather so i can pull the truck in the big barn and start tearing the bronco body off.
looking good bud cant wait to see it rip

you should let me drive it!
That's a firm no Alex I've seen you drive your own truck so I think I will pass

Got the new ring gear bolted onto the carrier. But ran I to a snag could t get the pinion bearing off of the old pinion so put It in the freezer and I will be back at it tomorrow but slowly makin progress

Finally made some progress yesterday! The Toyota a axle is out and the 60 is setting under it. Got the bottom link bars on still have to make up link tabs and bars for the top. Thinking about going with an air shock set up and get rid of the coils. And manage to find a little more time to guy out the cab and get it ready to be scrapped
Looks good!
Looks like I'm picking up a roll cage for it friday
Got the 4 link bars all done just need to get spring mounts done, and new mounts for the hydraulic steering ram made up and the 60 install will be all done and I can move on to the body swap, also picked up a nhra certified roll cage for it
were did you get your 4 link bars at
1 1/2 inch square tubing 1/4 wall bought a 10ft stick at n.e.f.co.in Hillsdale
were did you get your heim joints at
T.S.C top links. You can buy the high dollar hiems if you want but these are cheap and they hold up really well
I like the cage, turning out nicely

Picked up some more protective goodies couple new sets if g force 4 point harnesses

Well today I finished gutting the engine bay and noticed that my core support was rotted pretty good and also removed the stock fender flares and found some rust and some holes so I am in the process of negotiation on an 02 front clip to run instead of the old rotted one. Also finished getting the cab to make room for the cage and everything else, got the cab set up in location just need to make my body mounts
Very nice looks awesome
You will have that thing ready to run in no time
Still have alot to do
Cool. Looks good. I was always kinda partial to them b2s though ++peace

Unfortunately the roll cage is going to be a no go to much modification to make it work so I am forgoing the cage but I did get some work done to it today. Got the steering buttoned up tossed the booster and mounted the master cylinder to the firewall and finished up the brakes, mounted the headers, mounted the tach and gauges ran a few of the wires and mounted the seats back in the cab

Fabricated the frame works for the bed sides and had a little bit of spare time before work so I bolted in the lap harnesses now need to mount the rear radiator and plum it, and mount fuel cell a
ANd upgrade to 1/2 in fuel line. Then it's ready for paint and decals
The frame work and bed side are completely removable as 1 piece for easier power washing
Sweet! Looks like we will be ready about the same time :)
Need some help deciding which don't to go with for my decals so I would like some of your opinions I have two types in mind but if you can think of a cool font please feel free to name one but of the two I have the first on is stencil and the second is called round block
I like the first one. got a question, how tall are those front springs?
Not sure will measure tomorrow if I remember they are stock springs out of a newer f150
The first one!
Got the rear radiator mounted and the lines plumbed and started the slash shields for the rear radiator as well just need to mount the fuel cell run new 1/2 inch lines, rebuilt the carb and send it off to paint getting a little bit closer every day

Took it out last weekend got her really wet once ran like p00 for a little while but once it got cleaned out it really sang! Have a few changes to make! Had some idle issues! Broke the other side welds of the sway bar need to reweld that. Also going to put an engine oil cooler in to help with engine temp and also help stabilize the oil pressure

sweet truck. can we back track a little. i wana go full hydro, i was just curious if i could get more details on your setup.
i will try and remember to get some more pics of the set up tomorrow when I'm tinkering with it it's just an or orbital valve and hydraulic cylinder of a combine but it works pretty good going on 5 years with no problems
Well I forgot to get pics of my steering setup it i did get some stuff done today, got the sway bar rewelded, put my dads Boggers on, and wired up the tether so I can go racing next Saturday, I still have an issue with the carbruator, it won't maintain a consistent idle, it will idle perfect at 1200 rpm but then it will want to stall out then it idles at 2000 rpm, jut can't figure it out and I'm getting really frustrated with it. Oh and also I love the way It looks with cut Boggers all the way around
looks good
going racing next Saturday but because of my 4 link and cut tires I have to run the hot rod class, no biggie its all in fun, but they require you to run a tether because of the short shut down and pits on the the other side of the fence so got that all wired in today, all that's left is to give it a nice hand wash buff and wax it, add a little tire shine and away we go
Made it through TGW without breaking anything had an over heating problems that was pissing me off couldn't run very long or it would over heat, but I got that all figured out. Had a blast though lots of bad azz stuff up there but the mud was nasty stuff when it came to washing it off. So far it's been a great year been one of my best when it comes breakage. Other than the two shocks and welds on the sway bar breaking nothing major has let loose
Time to put her away for the winter, getting to cold to run it now, few plans for winter- pull oil pan and check the crank and bearings, new valve springs, hopefully a 1050 dominator carb and once taxes are done and I get my return I'm going to get a set of boggers
Had big plans for an engine upgrade and a few other things over the winter but looks like I'm going to be in the market for a new daily driver/tow rig now the one i have now might not make it through te winter, so that's not first priority! So te new plan for the bogger is pull the engine replace crank bearings and have the crank ground and then re ring it and stuff it back in, also gotta really good deal on an almost brand new set if 18.4-16.1 tractor tires for it they only have a couple seasons in the field on them hoping work stays busy so I can afford everything
Sounded a lot like my winter plan. But work did not get the memo lol.
I think u will like them tires. Just put two on the rear of mine and man what a difference.
I may cut my two front hawgs this winter but got a lot of repairs for mine that need be done.
Hopefully make it down that way this year a get to wheel with ya.

You gonna cut them or run them as is? Wish I would have kept some of the ones I had.

thsts awesome I'm stealing that quote if you don't mind
Well finally sold my old DD so that freed up dome cash to help get the truck going for the year. Pulled it into the garage this weekend. Started tearing the front clip off to make it easier to switch out the valve springs, ordered new valve springs and wheels for my 18.4s. Won't be long now and it will be ready to go
Does the truck being upside down help with valve spring removal also loll

Does the truck being upside down help with valve spring removal also loll
hey man that's how I roll!
After the last bog I took the truck to last year I changed the oil and found a metallic substance in the the oil, out if fear of it being bearings I decided to park it for the year, I finally got to look into te issue and discovered that at high rpm te cam started walking and the timing chain gear on the cam was rubbing the block. so I took the gear into work and milled out a pocket for a thrust washer to sit to eliminate this problem. So we should be all good to go once I get the valve spring in and my wheels made up for my 18.4s
mine did the same thing a few years back...same fix...now i have a belt drive
Welded the centers in my wheels, painted them up and got the tires mounted on them yestersay
