Title: Divorced 205 question
Post by: justin0421 on March 20, 2013, 11:14:24 PM
My buddy bought a divorced 205 t case today it is out of a dodge or ford numbers are to bad to tell which but he is running a Dana 60 fron and a 14 bolt rear, question is can u turn the t case 90* degrees or in other words turn the case to make it passengers side drop instead of drivers side drop. Without hurting anything??? Never tried it sure someone on here can help. Would appreciate all input and ideas

Thanks!!

can't be dodge tcase all dodges are passengers side until 1994 then driveer side. how would you mount it, bolt holes would be on the bottom side of tcase.

As long as fluid isnt going to run out of the vent tube and you are not going to starve any bearings of fluid, you should be good to go.  Might have to add a little more fluid in it.

Personally, I would look for the right tcase for the application.

Got a really good deal that's why, and gunna relocate the vent. Unless someone has one for a Chevy for sale!

I run mine pretty much straight up and down and haven't had any problems. I talked to my Buddy before i did who does trans, tcases and gears and he says the gears throw enuff oil arournd and to add a lil extra for good measure. IMO i would sell that tcase and buy the one you need just less headaches that way  ++peace
