Just got done building my new quad/dirt bike hauler just wondering what steps I need to go through to plate and register it
first thing you will need to do is go get the weight and that that slip to sos then i think they will ask you for the cost of material something like that. but its been a long time since i have do this so best bet would be to just go to sos and ask them what all they need.
U think I can use a slip from a recycling scale like genesee recycling
if its a certified scale i think so.

Here ya go :-)
And yes as long as the scales are certified.
Thank you
make sure u tell them u built it all out of scrap layin in the back yard otherwise u will pay tax on what u tell them u spent in materials ==np ++peace
As long as it doesnt weigh more than 2,450 lbs you will be fine, over that and its a pain. Been almost 2 months trying to get mine done. Had to have police inspect it, fill out a bunch of forms. Had to buy a 2 month plate for $50 just so i can use it.
Weight won't even come close to 2k hahaha only fits my dirtbike maby 500lbs

Have a buddy write a bill of sale for it put size of trailer..... take bill of sale into sos and get your registration... tell em its just a little utility trailer....pay your fees and get your plate... then your good to go :-)
