I'll explain what happened later but I broke my leg/ankle so I'm in the er waiting for xrays to see if I need surgery or not. Wish me luck.
Ahh crap hope its not painful get well
It hurts pretty bad. Broken above the ankle somewhere and torn 2 ligaments
ouch thats not good
Yeah buddy....loll. sounds like me last year, broke my ankle, tibula and fibula and tore all ligaments in my ankle, ended up with 4 plates and 18 screws, I've had 3 surgeries since and now only have 3 plates 12 screws that are hopefully soon to come out, I hope you don't need surgery.... the first one was the worst for me, felt worse than when I broke it, but they do give ya some good pain meds :-)
hpoe ya get better soon bro that sucks ass

sorry to here about your broken bones, is it your gas foot?
nope was my left foot.
Well that's always good. Rest er up
oh no best of luck
here it is 3 am and im in a ton of pain. cant get my leg/foot in a comfy spot so i can relax. i just want to cry wish it was monday so i can call the surgeon and get this fixed and in a cast.
Hang in there dude, sounds pretty f-d up
heres a pic at the hospital before they did anything to it.
ouch
Sunova!
so how did it happen?
I was unhooking a trailer and tip the tongue up and it started rolling towards the truck so I stopped it and asked the wife to move the truck so it wouldn't hit the truck. Well I didn't unhook the safety chains and it pulled the tongue down and forward with the truck and the jack ran into my foot which I had all my weight on it.
Ouch that make my foot hurt good luck
Yeah wonder if I would have been better off with my steel toe boots on or my shoes on like I did have. Thinking with my boots on I might not have broken anything but also think it could have been worse.
Hmmm I say blah it on the wife loll. Damn women drivers....why didn't she remind you to unhook the chains....he he at least I know that's what my wife would be saying to me if it was the other way around...... as for boots it might of helped but with an ankle it doesn't take much, just twist it the right way and snap...but I do know boots didn't help me when I broke mine, but they did save my foot from being ripped off as it was pretty much just the skin holding it on to my leg... I remember the lady that was helping me, I had to yell at her because she started pulling me hands away from my laces as I was untying my boot right after it happened, she didn't realize I was just trying to tighten them up as tight as I could, as I knew it help contain the swelling and it ended up being over 2 hrs before I got to the hospital, don't help none the damn ambulance driver got lost on the way there der ....
Well I hope your surgery goes better than mine did, as I woke up in the middle of mine.... I don't remember the pain any more but I do know that it was the worst pain I have felt in my life, and after the surgery for about 4 hrs it felt like my whole leg was on fire even with the pain meds,
didnt want to hear about the waking up during the surgery. I had surgery on my right foot back in 04 I broke it and they put a screw in it. this one I know will take longer and what not but I hope I dont wake up during that would really suck ass. I just want to get the surgery done as soon as possible and get on to healing so i can go back to work and move past this.
Ouch, Hope you feel better soon.

me too I'm sure it's gonna be at least 6 weeks before I'm some what back to normal. But on a good note I didn't break both wrists this time lol. Back in 04 I fell off a roof and broke my right foot and both wrists so I couldn't even use crutches like I can now. So it's a little easier to get around this time.

Man that had to suck...I was going out of my mind when I couldn't do nothing but lay in bed...I couldn't imagine not being able walk or use my hands at the same time..I'd really go nuts loll
yeah it sucks ass. this sucks ass too.
I go see the surgeon today at 1:15 see what he has to say and what will be done. hoping it can be done today even thou Im sure that wont happen
ouch i hope everything works out in your favor bud
me too hoping today i can get the surgery so its done and over with by i really doubt that will happen
Surgery tomorrow just waiting for the paperwork to see what time.
1130 and they say 1 hr for the procedure
good luck Cory, let us know how it goes
went great. only problem is it hurts my throat hurts and my head hurts all at the same time. trying to deal with it but its hard just want to sleep and i cant.
A couple of hits on a joint should ease the pain quite a bit.
Yeah not gonna happen lol. Feeling a lot better after a nap. Had a bad headache and sore throat from The tube down my throat. Have a pic of it in the case I'll post when I get to my computer.
pic of it all casted up after surgery. dr said he is glad he did the surgery today because my bone shifted and was starting to poke at my skin and waiting another week wouldnt have been a good thing.
Hope u heal up fast , get back on trail a=f
me too I wanna go wheeling damn it lol
Now let the itching begin, that's a long cast gonna need something long and slender to slide in there to scratch. But it will give you some thing to do. Glad all went good for you.
is that cast a tribute to your old jeep ?
yeah im sure it wont take long to start itching to start. they put it in the paperwork not to use anything to slide in there and scratch it lol.
dam that sucks. hope it gets better before wheeling seasons over.
glad to hear it went well. now the waiting game begins...
well only pain I am having is where they cut me open. Then my throat hurts still from the tube they had down my throat during the surgery. Just feels like a sore throat but hurts.
Well I got the cast off today. I can put some weight on it but still have to use my crutches. Hurts like hell to try to walk on it. I have very little movement and its swollen big time. Just have to do what i can to get it back to normal. I dont see me going back to work for awhile which sucks but I have money coming in so as long as that is coming I am ok with it. I would rather be at work then sitting here all the time.
It swelled up a lot while I was working in the garage yesterday so I slept with it up on the back of the couch and a lot of the swelling was gone by morning and I could move it more. Hoping that I can get more swelling to go away and start getting motion back in it and I can start to put more weight on it. I know its going to take time. 10 years ago I broke one bone in my foot and that was easy to get back on since I didnt have a swelling like this. Ankles are one of the worst things to screw up if you ask me. Doctor says the swelling can take up to a year to completely go away. Hoping it doesnt take that long.
Freedom!
yup just cant move it much and Im trying to walk on it when i can and get it to work again.
