I don't see the use of a rifle in Michigan or at all... That's just not hunting when u can kill something 500 yards away. Farthest gun I will shoot is my .50 cal muzzy and I can get out about 200-220 with that. Other then that I almost always hunt with my bow

not sure I agree with that statement.. pretty sure this guy has some time and research invested before he took the shot.

this is pretty impressive

That is impressive but I wouldn't call it hunting. That's shooting with style. I guess I just like more of a challenge when hunting with all the conditions instead of just shooting accuracy

Sooo.. Sounds to me like your sayin huntin is more than just pullin a trigger ???

Yea.. That's why I bow hunt too...
But I see his investment also, I believe it has more to do with the weapon and ammo as well as location, some game you just can't get close enough to to use a bow.

Would you then consider using a knife " more " hunting over a bow???
Good debate by the way  ==np

Well I'm just saying my opion on hunting. I believe it's more then just pulling a trigger. But some people think it's cooler to shoot something a longer distance. A long as they don't waste that sweet taste of venison it don't really matter lol. But I've done quite a bit of bow hunting and my uncle is a very big bow hunter and used to outfit out of Ohio and he's killed bear, moose, elk as well as a lot of bucks and ones scoring 189 ( out of Ohio)  but me personally would rather use a bow an that's my preference of hunting. And I don't think I'd be able to use a knife to kill a deer lol

Seems your opinion fits right in with most everyone else I know who hunts.. and I have to agree myself, bow is my personal preference, but I'm not against the distance hunting either, they both have some strong challenges to overcome to be successful.

Good luck to you this coming season.
