Ok so im completely clueless on ford trucks but im thinking of building an <86 ford full sized for a mud truck. Now can anyone tell me whats good on these and whats junk and whats the parts to look for and what did they come in
F150-250-350?
Was gonna do an f150
They wheel pretty nice I have good luck with them the big draw back is the short radius arms limits the flex and courses extra wear when wheeling what motor trans are you thinking the 86s with a 351 h.o and c6 are a tuff unit
I was thinking a 351 sitting in a 72 ranchero i got and a c6
It would be going in a late 70s f150 because theres an assload of them laying around me
79 and older are a awesome truck to build is your 351 a windsor, clevend or mod
Windsor
Probley my favourite motor a good cam intake and headers will wake it up. The weekest spot in the 73-79 I'd have to say is then spider hears in the front but there the same.as any d44 lifts are cheep for them good solid wheeling trucks
Book says its One of the good ones thats 11.0+ compression
Now whats the good axles and transfer cases to look for and what did they come in. Will upgrade to atleast f250 axles
The d44 that's in the f150 and 250 are the same besides the 8 lug outers most those trucks came with a np205 I'd just use that
