Got a set of 33x12.50x15 bfg a/ts, and I have 15x10 rims that I want to mount them on. Problem is that the rims seem like they are way to wide. I was thinking ether, a cheetah, I doubt a ratchet strap would do any good. Any other ideas?
use a ratchet strap works good
ether ;)
Cheetah and a strap.
I use a chain, hook it loose then take piece of pipe and twist it so the tire bead cloes to setting and put air to it.

X2 but set the center of the rim on something else so the tire is off the ground and the wieght of the tire seals the bottom bead. That way it forces the all the pressure up and gives it a better seal. Be sure to have that air chuck ready because it only stays inflated for about 10 seconds. Oh and another tip... Leave the valve stem IN. Its alot easier lol.
I mounted all 5 of the 33/12.5 tires on the tracker on 10" rims with nothing but a couple 4x4's, a small air compressor and windex. Call me tomorrow and ill tell you how.
Ratchet strap won't cut it. Tried it last night.
I try too get the back side of the tire on the wheel first usually by leaning it up against something give it a couple good kicks too get the bead started if the tire is big enuff to get a small hammer in side of it you can pound the bead on there then lay it down with the stem facing up usually with a couple blocks under the very edge of the tire with a wider tire any of the methods already mentioned with a strap chain etc helps also ya just want too slightly pinch the center of the tire once ya get the first one on the rest will be easy theres lots of different ways too doo it tho if the tires have been stacked up with out rims and are smooshed down cut a couple blocks too fit between the beads too stretch em out for a couple days
JC,
I have a bead seater for semi tires at work, I can get them done for you.
if you were able to bring them to Wixom I'd do it any day.. if not, I can bring it home next time I drive my truck.
