Title: 302 swap 88 toyota pickup
Post by: clampymudder on October 02, 2013, 02:47:39 PM
Hey guys!!!! Like the topic says wanting to put ford 302 in 88 yota... I know, why? The trucks sentimental. . Its been swapped between me and the other owner for last 10 years and unfortunately into my name for good.   :'( ==cry Anyways I've been researching for bit and found a site Northwest off road that sells engine swap kits.. direct bolt on.... problem is do all ford 302 engine mount the same... I would much rather run a carbed 302  than an EFI.... Help please.

Yes all 302s are the same except very early ones which are very rare

Cool would it be better to run carbed or efi.... I don't want to run all the wiring but if an early efi would be better I guess i would need to do it....

While doing this I plan on putting in a fuel cell... what's the best fuel pump or should I go with a double pump setup....would I need fuse box from an older ford to do this swap. I know the basics for swap... engine, drivetrain, etc. But what about electronics.
