Title: 500 caddy vs 454 chevy

Which would be the better of the 2 to build. Im wanting 11 ish compression. Turn 6000-7500 ish. And put it in a truck with a turbo 400 trans and np205 transfer case and be turning 35s

you would have a lot more $$$ into the caddy too turn that many rpms

The caddys valve train sucks and won't hold up to the rpm's otherthen that iI like the 500ci monster lots of tork huge mains

500 nicer low end but for that kinda rpms go chevy.. you can get a lot more for a lot less

The caddi block isnt strong enough and youd have a heck of a time not breaking cranks. Go 454 and youl be happy
