Title: need help with debraking gme 2.5 ton axels
Post by: rockrat on October 08, 2013, 12:07:53 PM
I have some gmc 2.5 ton axels that I can't figure out how to debrake. I've got the outter drums off, but the rest I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated, pics would be a bonus...thanks in advance.

get all the hardware off and swat the backing plate with a big hammer  after ya take the bolts out of the flange the plate bolts onto  I had one side not want too come off and I put a cut   from the top down close too the tube and it came right off  I cant remember if the hub had too be off or not but either way  2 cuts with the hot wrench should get it off there
