Title: What kind of heims
Post by: Jthomas on October 13, 2013, 09:57:49 PM
Looking for heims for suspension links. Not sure how I feel about tractor heims, I want something that will last more than 100miles. And maybe some with grease zerks

What do you guys use?

Flex joints are threaded ends and greaseable. And can be tightened up if they wear too much

on a strictly play bogger I would recommend tractor hiems they are strong and hold up well but they shuck around a little bit which gets annoying, but I would not use them for on road applications get ahold of wild time fabrication, dave has everything you could possibly need to 4 link your ride

Flex joints:

As for those tabs those look like shock tabs. Usually there isnt enough clearence between the eye and the axle tube

But if they were long enough, a tab is strong enough?

And should I use Johnny joints on both ends of the link? Or heim on axle, and the Johnny joints on frame?

not in single sheer, two tabs should work

They strong enough for coilover mounts?

And I planed using two tabs for each joint.
