I heard through the grape vine that a guy by the name of Jason Soulliere is approved by the Imlay City board to have monthly mud bogs on a 200 acre piece of property on Graham Rd and I-69. They even have approval for liquor licience, but that's all I know. Just wondering if it's all hearsay or if anyone else has any info on it. It would be badass if it's true, that's only 5 miles from my house!
Bog AND liquor license? Count me out... ==scared

lol x2 that just screams trouble
the liquor liscense will end up beeing a black eye for our sport/hobby, to many dumbasses that cant control themselves,
however i like the sounds of the rest of it, this is very close to me but i have not heard of anyone talking about this until now.
The way I see it, it ain't no different than any other bog where you can bring your own alcohol in. Not sure about it though was just putting it out there to see if anyone else heard the same.
I'm not sure about the liqueur license but the rest is true Graham just north of 69. Its going to be called country compound.
they have a facebook page called country compound
Yes it passed to have 1 mud bog a month from April 2014-oct.
Yes its on 200 acres.
Yes they have a class C licuer license.
Its all in the Lapeer county press also
ill bet you know where we can find all the county cops at once a month...
i will try it out once...if it's a cluster $%#@ won't go back....but ya never know it might turn out to be one of the good one's :)
I'll bet it will be good
Just gonna be another bad scar on the sport, like it isn't hard enough to keep a bog open now, wait til some drunk gets ran over/runs someone over. Probably be the end of bogs in that county. All I can say is hope nobody gets hurt, sure won't be me, I'll be at home :P

Not trying to start anything but I don't see how its any different than most bogs I have been to where a lot of people bring their own booze anyway. Personally I won't drink and bog myself but to each their own. I'm sure any safety concerns will be properly dealt with. I don't know who all has been there but I know down at Yankee lake they also serve alcohol and didn't notice it being a threat to everyone. I hope that the fact that they serve won't scare too many good people away and that they will give it a chance.
well said , ill check it out when it opens..

He'll yeh love meeting new peps
My bad, I was under the impression at TGW it was just the spectators drinking. Well I guess, I hope they atleast get good insurance ;D
Ok I really don't get it, why all the negative. A new bog opens (all legal) 200 ac of fun, and bashing it wtf
Bogs are getting harder, (do to not being legal) and here's a legal one, should be happy.
As far as drinking gos, I have not seen or heard of a alc free bog, s

Well it sounds like there trying to run it as a business not a BACKYARD bog. which will also bring BUSSINESS to the SMALL BUSSINESSES in there community! sounds like a win win to me. People should really think about things like this in another way! Don't let one or 10 drunk people give this sport a bad name! Foster Creek Mud Runners will be there to check it out! I mean what if a drunk got run over in the party store parking lot is the store responsible? I think not! And as far as TGW the streeters and all there help did a great job keeping the peace and still letting everyone have a good time! We will also be back up there for TGW 14 in hale MICHIGAN!
With them having a liquor license, it might slow down drinking.
Maybe no BYOB???
You will probably have to buy there!!
Beer tent style?????
From what I've found it will be just like a bar, no booze in or out you will have to buy it there. Seems to me they would be able to control the under age and drinking and bogging better with like wristbands or something along those lines. I can't wait for it should be cool. I should have my 2.5 ton cummins bogger done for opening in spring.
