Post by: 44mudder on December 21, 2013, 06:31:47 PM
what does it take to to a 6.0 in a 1500 is there any parts you have to change or is it something you can just drop in and run?

they are totally different motors. some of the things that are different are: mounts, cooling system, electronics, accy's, exhaust........  about the only thing that will cross over is the tranny bellhousing which have different patterns but will work.

Why not just go with a late 80's mid 90's  EFI 454..........a 6.0 isn't too far off from that.....unless its a 345/375 horse motor.

Just think............sooner or later, guys will be doing swaps like that.  5.7 blocks wont be around forever.

It is easy of all parts are in hand it can be done in less than a week if going carb... unless you can tune yourself then efi is that easy
