Title: 97 expedition
Post by: J.C. on December 26, 2013, 09:45:03 PM
97 with 245k. Lots of new parts, runs and drives very well for the miles. Decent shape, good tires, heat and 4x4 works. Leather interior.

I bought this, then blew the motor a week later. Looking to sell, $1200obo, needs engine replaced. Needed a timing chain tensioner, i drove it, and it blew up. Motivated seller! Real nice, just needs engine.

New engine is $850. I was out messing around in the snow and got on it. Timing chain tensioner got a little louder, had to drive it on the freeway the other night, shut off, won't even turn over. I think it busted the timing chain. Still a nice ride, but I don't want to put the time into it

New fuel pump, new rear lower control arms, newer tires, new shocks all the way around, newer 6disc CD changer. Tom replaced all that. There might be more than that, I've only had it a short time.

Sold it for $700, new owner let it sit for 2 weeks, went out and it fired right up. Still needs tensioner, but runs great!
