Title: Propane/natural gas conversion
Post by: lilred on January 02, 2014, 09:26:12 PM
Curious what it would take to convert a gasoline engine to run on natural gas. I see propane conversions around. Just got a generator, debating the cost effectivness of either converting it to propane and getting a tanks vs hooking it to my natural gas line that comes into the house. Or just getting a extra capacity gas tank and leaving it as is. Figures out to be about $35 running cost per day on gasoline.

I'll check into it. Bit pricey, doesn't seem like there would be much to it..

I been lookin around. I think I'm going to make my own, mostly grill parts anyways, just gotta find something that will shut the gas off if the generator stalls. Probably something in a furnace that'll do it. ==dunno
