OK I have one more question. the fuel injected motor does not have the lobe on the cam for the fuel pump. is the cam the same also to where I can run the old school cam in the fuel injected motor so I don't have to worry about fuel delivery? it has the hole for the pump rod but the fuel injected cams don't have the lobe.

as far as i know you can swap it in.. But the cam in the newer block is most likley a roller cam..lifter motor i would use it if it is and put a low pressure electric fuel pump on it

Get a block off plate, and an electric fuel pump.

x2 don't go from a functional roller cam to a flat tappet cam just to run a mechanical fuel pump, go electric..

Alright thanks. It is a rolor style so I will keep the jeep fuel pump and run a pressure regulator

I believe the newer blocks didn't have fuel pump bosses now that I think about it.

some of them did and some of them didn't i had a roller motor that had a mechanical fuel pump on it.. just depends on the luck of the draw
