Post by: 85cHeavyMetalBogger on January 11, 2014, 08:35:53 AM
I have a 2000 blazer zr2, the headlights are automatic but they wont come on. even when I manually turn them on with headlight switch they still don't come on. I checked the fuse and it was good. any ideas of what the hell it could be? GotMud?

have tail lights, break lights, turn signals.  noticed today they came on when I put it in gear, and while in gear I turned headlight switch on and they turned off. I will check again when it gets dark.

Where's the relay at?

I believe its under the hood with the rest of the relays/ maxi fuses.... if the lights are going off when you turn the switch to on, it sounds like you got a short somewhere....id start with the switch...

High beams could be on too and have a short there.  Been there before. No headlights, clicked the high beams off, and I had low beams.

High beams don't work either.  Could it be a short in the multi-function switch?

unplug the multi function switch and try jumpering the harness to verify the switch.
