ok guys I am finally getting started on my new body for my mud truck (the great white willy) which has turned out to be more than a body. I spun a bearing in hale so it got a 454 bbc. then since I got a brand new set of 14.9-24 r1's basically handed to me I decided to pick up a set of 2.5 ton rockwells. so its basically gonna be a completey new truck.however I have my hands full as you can see what I am going through right now.
just picking out little areas at a time and cutting them out and replacing.
more pics coming soon!!
You should be good at welding sheetmetal pretty soon :)

bottom of the cab corner will get trimmed after the rocker panel goes in

i know there is a two wheel drive pulling truck named willy makit but not a bogger
been working Saturdays at work but I have been working on the truck as much as possible. I have the chassis ready for paint which will be going on this weekend and then I will be spending my memorial weekend getting the cab ready for paint.
Looking bad ass !!
I gotta ask, you did the 4 link in te front but not the rear, why is that? Looks like the cradle is done well so why not 4 link the rear while you were at it? Not tryin to be a dick but just curious!
The rear is definitely getting a four link setup next winter I just chose to wait because of the cost of the whole setup. It cost me around $1000 just for parts to do the front so the plan itgatxt winter link the back then long travels after that
==awesome applaudd applaudd
Looking sweet! Get er done!
Finally starting to look like something
Digging the headlights!
Nice !! looking good !!

thanks rob i appreciate it.
i have a new all forged 496 (est 700 h.p.) being put in for turkey day at the mounds which should be interesting.
the winter project is a much needed cage being built out of 1 3/4 .120 wall and will need a bender for the roll bar if anyone has one in the flint area that would like to help feel free to let me know motor pics coming soon
ok so i am starting to build a cage for the truck. total pain in the a** cause unfortunately you cannot buy a kit for a 48 willys truck. however it is coming along nicely and will have some pics up soon. after putting a 700 hp bbc in that beast and taking it for a spin i figured it was time for some more safety :) i will also be sticking in some suspension seats and five points al;ong with a new shifter
Absolutely freaking awesome, I love it!!! :)
Any up date pics on the cage?
cage is done got some seats and harnesses in too
ill be feeling a little safer now
What !?!? no carpet or door panels..... ;D
Nice job..
