The truck was running fine, just when i turned it off at temperature it wouldnt fire back up. Itd just crank and crank till i let it sit for 5 mins then itd fire up. So i changed the coil to a new blaster ss and put on the new 10.5mm coil wire i had. It fired up hard for me to drive it home, now it wont fire at all. Just crank. Fuel pump is on a switch and i jave a guage to show it has pressure, carb is 2 years old anx i can watch the gas dump in
Ive got:
msd pro billet dizzy
6al box
taylor 409 racewire
blaster ss coil
Look up MSD troubleshooting for the 6al. There is a way to check the box to make sure it works

my digital 6 blinks when it doesn't feel good, lol
Digitail boxes are nice!
Its not a digital box. Its the older one. And its not the batteries either. 2 die hards both 1k cca i standard 1 marine. Aint nothin killin them
that link I posted is for all 6 series boxes
Tried a few different things on it. Overrided the box and got the coil to spark, but only a few times. So it worked but it wasnt the greatest spark. Gave it timing cuz it was backfiring thru the carb. Still nothing. Bypassed it and its been working so far.
Sound like the box might be shot. MSD will rebuild it for $75?? If I remember right. Topfist I think knew more about it.
Thats what i thought. I just wish it woulda done it in the spring or summer and not during plow season in the single digit temps. Was not a fun afternoon.
I didnt realize it would be that cheap to do eithet, i wonder if ther could epoxy encase it gor a small cost too cuz it sits under the hood
I had a problem like this truck would run for 5 min then quit sent box in came back still same thing found out it was the pick up in the dis that was not triggering right

I had thought about that being the problem too, but once its running it stays running. It just wont start, and if my pickup was bad it shouldnt run being bypassed tho cuz it uses the same sizzy wires?
also move your 12 ignition on wire put it direct to battery see if it starts then on my 94 the power I was using was not strong enough changed to a different wire starts every time now
Sounds like the box is jacked...I buy a new one about every 2.5 to 3 years. They been lasting a lot longer since I started using the rubber mounts that come with them! It use to be every year before that.
I tried the power, wasnt it. And it hasnt had the rubber mounts and ots been in the truck over s year and a half, and im the third owner of it
