I seen this on a diff site has any one heard aoubt this ==dn We were at The Mounds in November and apparently the lady at the gate told one of the guys in our group (driving FullThrottle's old Scout with a nice cage) that starting in 2014 it wouldn't be allowed in as-is and would require a hard top/roof.
Does anybody have any info or details on this potential new rule? Not speculation, actual info.
I imagine this will be a big issue for the Jeep and side by side crowd. Since that would eliminate a huge portion of their "customers" I'm thinking they won't be kicked out, they'll just require helmets or something if you have an open cab.....but I don't wanna speculate either. Does anybody know more about this?
Wish we could speculate :(
If that is true, it sounds pretty dumb, and would be the end of the mounds. My guess is if they require anything, it will be a roof, OR a cage...I can see why they would require that.
That would be pretty dumb if they turn away vehicles with a full cage, my jeep has a full cage that ties in to the frame and sticks past the body, I have a bikini top, but there's no way a hard top will ever fit back on
I could understand if it wasn't caged, but being a cage its stronger than just a roof... and if it is the case, then put on a helmet and they can't turn you down then... I mean if they do what about the ATVs and dirt bikes and utvs, are they going to be no longer permitted because they have no roof, how stupid
I heard they tried not letting a stock geo tracker in even with the roof because it didn't have a roll cage and they didn't have helmets.

lol wasn't me i had my jeep :P which the lady let through the gate with open manifold, cause she put the DB tester at the back bumper ==roll
Last few yrs ago i heard they sayit has to be full roll cage or a roof a friend of mine went there with his k5 topper off and only had roof cover where front seats are and they told them that the back seat passenger must have helmet or no rider and those factory roll bar is not acceptable.
I wonder if this is coming about because of that kid in the bronco that got the girls hurt when he was being a jackass

I even called the mounds number and the operator told me no helmets required if you have cage and roof.
