Title: any nitro experts? i need your help!
Post by: CUCVonROCKS on February 27, 2014, 12:14:16 PM
So I have a Traxxas T-Maxx newer model 3.3 truck. I ended up destroying the connecting rod in the 3.3 a few weeks ago. So I bought a lightly usedofna force .28 to put in it just to get it moving faster. I bought all the stuff I need to put it in the tmaxx and when I began the install I realized that the stick out on the crank shaft is too long, it puts the clutch bell past the little flywheel and into the side of the transmission. So I wanted to know if they make replacement crank shafts that are different sizes? ??? And if not, is there any bolt in big blocks for the tmaxx? Any help would be appreciated ==wgm

We never did find a bolt in big block. We did 1 on a buddys and redilled  the mount holes. But it never did work right. If you just want more speed go down on you spere gear teeth a couple teeth. The 3.3 rod is hit and miss if you get a good 1 there OK but I split 2 in my old truck. If the piston and sleeve are OK a rod is like 30
