To control the people control their gun rights. Control the law breakers arm the citizens. I think this is a great step forward. Now lets see how the people handle their right.

I've read other "media" that have the exact opposite effect.

I totally agree Phil! And realizing my word choice wasn't striking allow me to rephrase. We the people need to understand the people committing crimes; (robbery, assault, murder) will find a way, no matter what tool we remove, and if they commit these crimes, they will still have access to the removed tool because they do not obey the law. A gun is a tool used for defense, and for sport. If we allow our politicians to take it away, we remove a legal tool for our personal defense. Go after the criminals not the People, and not the tool.
Personally I think its great. If it passes the governors desk, I'm curious to watch their gun related crimes over the next couple years. If I had a bet, it's going to drop dramatically, makes criminals think twice about shooting a place up or even waving a gun around when theres a chance a few people in the room also have a gun.
Hopefully Michigan isn't far behind but sadly I don't see snyder the republicrat trying anything that would require a set. ==dunno
oh, and only posted nbc's article because it was the first one I seen lol. You are right though, I read articles all over many websites daily, comments usually tend to follow "entertainment providers". Can't call it news anymore. 9 stories out of 10 are p00
