Title: shift cable 97 gmc 2500
Post by: Blazin40s on May 02, 2014, 11:59:15 AM
I have a 97 gmc 2500 2 wd pick up.  Went to put it in park and it wouldn't go.  Will go fine if I lay under truck and manually push the lever forward.  Is tbere an adjustment on this cable?  And where is it?  Heard it may be under the seat and carpet.

Usually the boot is held on with a factory zip tie, I can't recall off hand where the adjustment is, I believe most are a 2 piece cable and where the 2 meet is where you can adjust It at
