Title: Electric hydro steering pump questions?

What brand or model of electric pump do people use to run hydraulic steering?

Doing a rear engine so was thinking of running an electric pump up front above the axle and then lines would be shorter and so on

ok I see I have an elec pump from a camper slide out. not sure what the brand is thou.

Reds Hydraulic Pumps are the best ones to use... had mine for three years now and no issues... cost a little but worth it...

I have the Reds pro hopper but I don't think they make it any longer

Keep in mind most of those are intermitent duty, not on for hours.  Nothing I would want to run for long for my steering.  That and the amp draw will be insane to keep running.  Buy a hose and will be much happier.

You could run an extra pulley attached to a jack shaft, supported with bearings to move the stock steering pump farther up, wouldn't be hard. but I'd say spend the money and buy the hose just my 2 cents
