ok so im building a new pullin truck motor for the s10 class. now heres the rules. must be factory block no darts merlins ect. any cast heads legal. 366 ci max and 7000 rpm limit and must be a tappet cam. solid or hydro. no rollers

Not sure what the question is, but I wonder if a gmpp bowtie block is considered factory...

nope no bowties more or less junkyard blocks. my question is how would i go anout building an engine with these rules. i was thinking a 400 with a 327 crank but would it be any good

Bigger stroke and smaller bore for more torque.

I would just use a 350. Balance and have everything forged. Solid tappet cam 2500-7k. Vortec heads. I'd prolly make it a nitrous motor. Bout the best way to get power out of them
