Title: quick question. I'm kind of stumped SOLVED I BELIEVE
Post by: 95-Jeep on December 06, 2014, 10:38:01 PM
Vehicle.....
95 Chevy. 5.7 TBI

Question...
Driver side rocker has the oil cap. And a tube that goes the a collar on the TBI...tube is bad and not sealed in rocker causing a leak of oil.....can I eliminate the tube and just put a breather in the rocker and cap off the collar. Or will it cause to much pressure and blow a gasket

right and the pcv is on the other valve cover...but ive heard of people doing the salad bowl mod and eliminating the tube and just putting a breather on, and the end up with blow by out the oil dip stick tube

its fine to put a breather on it..... just check it everytime you change your oil... as it will eventually get clogged up with oil, or you can get one of those reusable/ washable breather filters for it....
