So on my way home from work yesterday afternoon a car tried to pass me at 65-70 on m25 and hit some ice. He lost it and went into the ditch and just missed a pole and rolled a couple times and landed on the roof. I jumped out and called 911 then had to bust a window out and pulled 2 guys out. Driver was the last to come out but as I was pulling him out he said he hit his head so I stopped him and told him not to move anymore and I laid in the snow and held his head still till ems arrived. ems told me he did have some neck injuries so hope it wasn't anything serious but I did what I could do. Wish people would stop being in such a hurry and pass on slick roads. Everyday I get passed like I'm not moving and I would bet they are all going 65-70 some even faster. Second time someone has passed me on that road and crashed right in front of me

Yeah people om m25 drive fast I get passed all the time and it pisses me off. I know this I am getting a new knife that has a glass breaker on it because I couldnt get the glass to break yesterday and good thing someone grabbed a tire iron and brought it to me. That really bothered me that the people in the car was yelling to me to get them out and I couldnt get them out faster. It bothered me all night and I didnt sleep well. So I am getting a glass breaker and hope I dont ever need it but i got to have it just in case.

yeah I just ordered a knife with one on it should have it in a few days. Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I feel obligated to stop and help since I had the training back in the navy. I think I am going to look into getting some training so I have more to offer for next time just in case.
A cars antennae can be used to break the glass, a fireman taught me that.

so that begs to ask the question were you in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time if they did not crash in front of you by themselves they may have went further down the road and hurt somebody else I believe it was right place right time !!
I dont know I just know they shouldnt have tried to pass me then they would not have crashed at all. Too fast for road conditions
applaudd Well done. Some fire departments will pay for you to get your EMT B if you agree to be on their department for a couple yrs. That's how I did mine. Other wise its like a $ 1,000 or so.
i have my gi bill i can use for it plus i am not even close to a fire dept.
When u dont wanna break the window its the easiest thing to do but god help u the time u wanna break it, it nearly impossible sometime. I watched a guy bounce a huge chunk of concrete off a window 3 times b4 it broke.
Break some old spark plugs off keep the porcelain in your glove box they break side windows like nothing

Yeah I thought about one of those too but I figured having it on me at all times would be a better idea. That way I wouldn't have to go back to my car for it. But a good idea.
